Your Sedation Options at Chandler Park
Chandler Park Dental Care offers three levels of sedation so our approach fits your visit, your health history and how you feel on the day of your appointment. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is the lightest option. It takes effect quickly, wears off within minutes after the mask is removed and leaves most patients able to drive themselves home. It works well for mild unease or routine procedures where you just want to take the edge off.
Oral sedation is taken as a pill before your appointment. It produces a deeper sense of calm and many patients feel drowsy enough that they have little memory of the visit. Because it takes longer to clear your system, you’ll need a ride to and from the office. It’s a good fit for patients who want to feel genuinely relaxed without an IV.
IV sedation, administered and monitored by Dr. Eli Jackson, provides the deepest level of comfort available at our practice. You remain in a controlled, sleep-like state for the procedure, and our team can adjust the level throughout your visit. IV sedation is often chosen for longer procedures or when a patient wants the most thorough comfort experience. A driver is required. Call (270) 781-2952 to talk through which option fits your situation.
How Our Team Selects Your Comfort Option
At your consultation or before your procedure, our team reviews your health history, the type of work being done, and your personal comfort preferences. They’ll explain each available option in plain language and help you decide together. Once sedation begins, a team member monitors you throughout your appointment, adjusting as needed to keep you safe and comfortable. You’ll never feel rushed into a choice, and you can ask questions at any point. Our goal is a visit you feel good about, from check-in through your ride home.

Yes. Chandler Park follows established safety protocols for each sedation level, and a team member monitors you throughout every sedated procedure. Dr. Eli Jackson holds a certification in IV sedation, and our practice reviews your health history before any sedation is used.
It depends on the type used. Nitrous oxide clears quickly and most patients can drive themselves after a short recovery period. Oral sedation and IV sedation take longer to wear off, so a driver is required for both. Our team will let you know what to plan for before your appointment.
