At this appointment, we’ll discuss your personal smile goals, evaluate the health of your mouth, review your medical and dental history, and cover pricing and financing options. Our goal is to help you know what to expect with treatment and what’s possible with the different types of solutions we offer.
If we determine that implant supported dentures or full mouth dental implants is the best choice for you, we’ve outlined below the basic treatment process you can plan on completing. Our experienced dentists have developed streamlined protocols for these treatments to ensure the highest quality care, with the most outstanding results—that all fit within your budget.

Treatment Planning Phase
Your treatment planning phase involves your consultation and diagnostics, including taking 3D scans of your mouth using cone beam CT technology. These scans are particularly important for surgical planning and to create the custom surgical guide we’ll use to ensure precision when placing your dental implants.
Your personalized treatment plan may include additional treatments, such as bone grafting or tooth extractions, to prepare your mouth for surgery and dental implants. We’ll also design a digital representation of your new smile and show you how you’ll look with new teeth using our PreVu™ smile simulation technology!
Although we can’t show the transformative functional effects of your treatment quite yet, we do our best to make sure you know what to expect functionally and esthetically once your treatment is complete.
Surgical Phase
On the day of your surgery, our first goal is to ensure you’re relaxed and comfortable in one of our treatment suites. You can choose any of our custom sedation options, in addition to IV sedation if you prefer to “sleep” through your surgery and wake with no memory of your appointment.
Your surgery will take a few hours and for most patients, we can extract teeth and provide bone grafting at this appointment to streamline your treatment process. Depending on your specific case, we will place dental implants the same day as your extractions and bone grafting.
If you’re receiving dental implants, you’ll receive your custom provisional the following day, allowing your mouth to heal overnight and for the swelling to go down. You’ll be able to function comfortably with this temporary bridge and already start reaping the benefits of a complete and healthy smile!
Restorative Phase
You’ll need to heal for 4 to 6 months after your implant surgery before receiving your final bridge of teeth. This healing is critical to the long-term health and stability of your dental implants as it’s during this phase that your natural bone is fusing to the dental implants.
If receiving implant supported dentures, you’ll most likely have your existing denture retrofitted to your implants, so they stay secure in your mouth. If you’re receiving full mouth dental implants, you’ll return to our office to have your custom-made zirconia bridge attached to your dental implants once they’re fully healed. This material is incredibly strong and lifelike and is resistant to staining, plaque accumulation, and odors.
Compared to acrylic or porcelain bridge options, our zirconia bridges provide the most natural beauty and the longest-lasting function. They truly are as close as you can get to natural healthy teeth.
Making full mouth rehabilitation affordable
As mentioned above, one of the key differences between our full mouth rehabilitation solutions is their cost. More importantly, remember that cost is directly related to the number of benefits you’ll be receiving. Dentures certainly are the least expensive option, but they aren’t permanent, and they’ll need adjustments in the future.
Implant supported dentures are a good option for many patients, they can provide good long-term function and support. Full mouth, fixed dental implants are the most expensive option , but they’re the only solution that will give you a permanent return to health and function while providing life-like smile esthetics.
We’ll help you afford your new smile no matter which option you choose, however, and offer third-party financing through CareCredit® and LendingClub. With many different monthly payment options to choose from, we’ll help you find one that fits within your budget.
