Chandler Park Dental Care believes everyone deserves the confidence and joy of a healthy smile. That’s why we proudly host “Smiles From The Heart,” an annual day of free dental services for uninsured and underserved residents throughout Bowling Green, KY. Founded by Dr. Eli Jackson, DMD, in the early years of the practice, the program reflects an ongoing commitment to community care that the Chandler Park Dental Care team continues each year.
A Day of Free Dental Care for Our Community
Each year, “Smiles From The Heart” opens its doors to offer a range of dental services entirely for free. We serve individuals over the age of 18 who do not have dental insurance or otherwise find accessing dental care challenging. Our team — composed of our skilled dentists, hygienists, and an army of compassionate volunteers — provides essential treatments such as cleanings, X-rays, fillings, and extractions. The event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring we help as many neighbors as we can during the day.
The Heart of Our Mission
Dental health is critical to overall health and well-being. Issues in oral health can lead to pain, infections, and a host of other complications that impact eating, speaking, and even self-esteem. By hosting this event, we aim not only to treat immediate dental concerns but also to prevent more severe health problems down the road. On founding the program, Dr. Jackson said:
“Many people in our area need dental care, but right now they just can’t afford it. That’s why I have assembled a team of volunteer dentists, assistants and hygienists to give a totally free day of dental care.”
Dr. Jackson retired from clinical practice on May 31, 2026 and now serves as Founder Emeritus. The program continues each year, stewarded by the Chandler Park Dental Care team under the clinical leadership of Dr. Devin T. Hall, DMD.
